Woman walking in grass field

About Me

Swipe Right Academy was born from a very specific observation: most people are walking around with genuinely wonderful qualities and completely sabotaging themselves before they ever send a single message. The photos are off. The bio sounds like everyone else's bio. And nobody in their life is brave enough to tell them.

I am.

"The gap between who you actually are and how your profile presents you is almost always fixable — once someone who knows what they're doing takes a look."

I am a professional headshot photographer with over a decade of experience studying micro-expressions, body language, and what makes a face memorable — and a published writer with bylines in the New York Times and Washington Post who has spent years figuring out how to make words do exactly what they're supposed to do.

Together, those two skill sets are unusually well suited to this particular problem. Dating profiles are part image, part narrative — and most people are only getting one of those two things partially right, if that.

I’m not here to be harsh. I’m here to be honest, specific, and actually useful. There's a difference between "your photos could be better" and "the second photo is working against you because of the angle and the lighting, and here's what to do instead." I do the second one.

Whether you're new to dating apps, coming back after a long time away, or you've been at it for a while and can't figure out why it isn't clicking — this is the outside perspective you've been missing.
